Tips so your documents get approved first time
- Take photos in daylight, flat on a table, with all four corners visible.
- Renew insurance or pay bluebook tax before applying, not after.
- If the vehicle is in a family member’s name, keep their citizenship copy ready in case it is asked for.
- Use the phone number you’ll keep. Your Yango account is linked to it.
Why you need a PAN
From 17 July 2026 (Shrawan 1, 2083), ride-sharing platforms handle 5% VAT and withhold 1% advance income tax on payments to drivers. Drivers need a PAN, but not a separate VAT registration. Read our guide to the new Yango tax rules.
